|
The years between 1 and 3 are a time of explosive physical growth and psychological development. Toddlers also have a lot of conflicts aginst mothers and concerns about things related to the anus. There are many tasks for them to get over in order to achieve a new level of psychological development. I reviewed this period from the psychoanalytical aspect focusing on Freud’s psychosexual development and Margaret mahler’s separation-individuation process.
